One of the main goals of the Baltic Circle is
to bring together theatre people of various interests and different
countries. Open forum discussions are designed to offer audience
a chance to meet artists participating in the festival. Discussion
themes and topics will arise from the festival performances. Artistic
director Erik Söderblom will lead the discussions. Everyone
interested in the festival and its artists are most welcome to come
and join the discussions!
Open forum discussion are held three times at
Puoli-Q, Tunturikatu 16. On Wednesday 26th November the discussion
will be held in conjuction with Formalny Teatrs open rehearsal
at Teatteri Takomo, Frederikintori.
Open Rehearsal: Formalny Teatr
Formalny Teatr from St. Petersburg comes to
Helsinki to rehearse its next performance, Dostoyevsky Trip,
which is a co-production with Baltic Circle. It will have its premiere
the coming year. The performance is directed by Andrei Mogutshi,
whose Hamlet-machine was part of the Baltic Circle Festival
in 2000. Dostoyevsky Trip is also a part of a Public
Reading session on Friday 28th November at Puoli-Q.
Audience has a chance to observe Dostoyevsky
Trip rehearsal on Wednesday 26th November. There will be an open
forum discussion after the rehearsal.
