Kaleidoskop teatret: Dada

"We don’t want to look to the past; we want to look to the future. What does the world look like after September 11th? What is the central problem of the modern human being? What is chaos? What are the stories that we need to tell?"

- Martin Tulinius & Oscar K.

Usually theatre performances begin the same way night after night. Dada is a performance which begins at and ends with a different scene in each performance. Dada is a way of performing stories in sync with our fragmented and chaotic reality. Dada is a theatrical manifest which brings before its audience a colourful mixture of lights and music, adults, children and a ton of props, and all in the subtle art of the stage.

The Kaleidoskop Teatret was founded by Martin Tulinius and Mikkel Munck-Hansen in Copenhagen in 1994. Tulinius still co-directs the theatre with Mette Hvid Davidsen. Kaleidoskop Teatret represents modern, experimental theatre and other arts related to the stage. In addition to their own repertoire, the theatre provides a space for visiting performances. One of the central ideas of this theatre is to provide opportunities for professional artists that are seeking untraditional ways of making unconventional theatre.

During the last Baltic Circle Theatre Festival Kaleidoskop Teatret presented their performance Kafka.
