WE WANT TO THANK all the participants, guests, staff, volunteers, co-operators and supporters for the unforgettable festival happening! Next year, 2006 will be dedicated to future planning; aiming to a festival in November 2007. Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. See you!

Baltic Circle is a group of theatre professionals who are brought together and share the same desire of making artistically ambitious contemporary theatre. A theatre festival is then the natural outcome when they bring along their newest performances. For these nine days in November, the theatrical life of Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Bergen and Moscow extends to Helsinki.

So far, the Baltic Circle project has resulted in two international theatre festivals in Helsinki (2000 and 2003). This will be the third festival event. The whole project is run by freelance producers and directors. The main collaborator is Finnish Q-teatteri.

The festival venues of the international programme:
Q-teatteri, Tunturikatu 16, 175-190 seats
Puoli-Q (Q-teatteri's small stage), 45-60 seats
KokoTeatteri, Unioninkatu 45, 70-105 seats
Lume Media Centre, Hämeentie 135, 75-115 seats
Aleksanterin teatteri, Bulevardi 23-27, 385-400 seats

We welcome you to be as curious as we are!

Introducing: DramAgora #1

In the Baltic Circle Festivals 2000 and 2003, informal discussions were organized for the artists. The aim was to reflect on the reality of the contemporary theatre in the Baltic Sea region.

Year 2005-2006 the discussions are being held during four different theatre festivals:

- HOMO NOVUS (Riga, Latvia)
- BALTIC CIRCLE (Helsinki, Finland)
- NEW DRAMA ACTION (Vilnius, Lithuania)
- BALTOSCANDAL (Rakvere, Estonia)

After each festival, a new DramAgora issue will be published.

The 1st issue has now been launched. It features two discussions.

The aim of the new DramAgora net newspaper is to create a place for artists’ discussions, to open a public forum for comments, and to encourage theatrical thinking in writing.
