STORY OF SEVEN WHO WERE HANGED Tabakov Teatr

Solesombra is a tender and bitter story about the universal loneliness, the ideal of happiness, and its impossibility. The events take place on a sunny island, where life goes on slowly and uneventfully. Suddenly, a genius photographer arrives on the island with his assistant. They open a studio and start experimenting with the "perfect photo", an ultimate work of photographic art, reflecting the universal balance. The story takes an unexpected turn when they meet Frida, a local woman deeply disappointed in love. Solesombra is a fascinating fusion of visual and symbolic elements as well as a very human, touching love story.

Teatr Akhe was founded in St.Petersburg in 1989 by Maxim Isaev and Pavel Semchenko both from a visual art background. Isaev and Semchenko created a theatre collective that specialised in explosive “happenings” that are often staged in parks or other public settings. The ritual like performances commence in the area of fine arts and film. Akhe takes part in various theatre projects in Russia and abroad. Theatre Satire on Vasilyevsky Island is lead by Vladimir Slovokhotov. Theatre Satire has been visiting and performing twice in Q-teatteri, first in co-operation with Helsinki festival 1997, and then during the first international Baltic Circle -festival 2000.
