An internationally renowned and thought-provoking photo exhibition presenting the candidates and winners of Miss Landmine Angola 2008.
Miss Landmine Angola 2008 is the world's first beauty pageant for landmine survivors, taking place in one of the world's countries most severely affected by land mines left over from a 30 year long civil war. Miss Landmine is created and directed by Norwegian director and actor Morten Traavik. Ten Angolan women, each representing her home province, are competing in the pageant for the grand prize: a deluxe model leg prosthesis direct from Norway.
