Alice ad infinitum - a mirror-split exploration into infinite psychology, time and space, multiple universes, Wonderland, probability, permutations, perversions, personality, and transformation.

Unexpected permutations of archtype characters inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland are the gateways into questions of identity, imagination and infinity in Alice ad infinitum. The performance makes use of conceptions of reality borrowed from theoretical and astrophysics to present Alice’s expeditions from Wonderland, through Mirrorland, into parallel universes.

“Alice presents a good starting point for questioning the search for identity. The well thought and daring performance makes good use of its premisses, and benefits from the great work of Johanna MacDonald in the role of Alice.” Outi Lahtinen, Helsingin Sanomat '07

Teatteri Naamio ja Höyhen (Mask and Feather) was created through - and is driven by - the desire to test the possibilities of theatre and performance. Our performances are not based on well-worn processes, but we hope to find a unique way of working for every project. Although each performance is its own distinct world, elements such as physicality, visuality, mystery, a non-psychological approach, and departure from conventional logic of plot are common threads, keeping us at a distance to the literary mainstream of western theatre. Experimentation, consistent training, and workshops keep our imagination free and our work full of the spark of life. We believe that curiosity and courage in the face of uncertainty are the best starting points for art.
