A Performance with an Ocean View (and a Dog) - II Memo of Time takes place in a tent and its surroundings on the ancient shores of the Yoldia Sea after the last ice age in the northern suburbs. The basis of the presentation is the weather, time and potential. The performance with the ocean view is an attempt to create a break – a slow area full with possibilities in the middle of a potential catastrophe. The second, independent part A Performance with an Ocean View (for a dog) takes place on a future seashore on the roof of a city centre department store. The performances are situated between the theater, live art and performance art.

In their previous memo performance series director Tuija Kokkonen and Maus&Orlovski have examined the various concepts in the interface of nature and culture. The Memo of Time series examines our relationship to non-human from the perspective of duration and potentiality. Mr Nilsson – I Memo of Time (Kiasma Theatre 2006) addressed the relationship of humans to other animals and death and it has been performed in Kiasma and the Finnish National Theatre in Helsinki as well as in Sweden and Norway. Tuija Kokkonen has been awarded the Finland Prize of Art of her works.
