Plays and Playwrights seminar aims to present an overview of the recent trends in the field of contemporary dramaturgy in Finland, Russia and Sweden and facilitate the exchange of information and best practices between the professionals in the field. The participants of the seminar are invited to look closely into the practical side of playwriting – distribution of plays, different models of co-operation between playwrights and theatres, and so on. The seminar will start with presentations from each country and continue with a round table discussion. After the seminar, participants are invited to Puoli-Q, where the reading of Russian-Finnish play “Winter War” will take place.

The target group of the seminar are theatre professionals: playwrights, dramaturgs, critics, researchers, agents. The seminar is a part of the Seeds of Imagination -project supported by EU.
