Gnab Collective presents The Best of YouTube at the Baltic Circle Festival Lounge. The group chooses videos on the basis of their popularity, but also because of their artistic, political and cultural value. The group will stage the videos as closely as possible to the original and create an evening in the style of a music concert in which a repertoire of songs is performed without an obvious overriding dramaturgy. 

YouTube has made internet surfing a social activity which includes rather than excludes. It not only connects people virtually on a global scale but also creates a sense of community among people who share a physical space to watch videos in. The Gnab Collective would like to create this sense of community, shared fun and informal exchange within a theatre context. The project is presented as a demo performance at the Baltic Circle Lounge and further developed after that.   

Gnab Collective is an international group with members from Finland, Switzerland and Germany. The collective's main focus is on the process of developing a performance, in which text, movement, space, and sound are equal elements of inspiration and equally important in conveying content. The first successful production of GNAB collective, BANG!, was staged at the Helsinki Festival/Stage Festival 2009.
