Sunny

The tragedy of a man is that he is able to remember the past and imagine the future.Sunny is a drama of loss. Sorrow and recovery are the main emotions under scrutiny. In Schopenhauer's words, if the world is ”something that should not exist”, then who are we, its inhabitants, and how do we deal with life and our limited scope?
The work is very loosely based on a book called Solaris (1961) by the Polish author Stanislaw Lem. However, the book is more of a source of inspiration, and Sunny is not an actual dramatization of it. Sunny tells a story of a man who returns to Helsinki after a long absence and finds a space in his old neighbourhood that seems to function outside the rules of its surrounding reality.

KSR was founded in 2006 and consists of young professional artists from Southern Finland.
