This isn’t the first time the Baltic Circle Festival takes an artistic and organizational risk with their Swedish colleagues by staging a show right after its Swedish premiere, and even including it in the programme of an international theatre festival. In the year 2000 the BC festival introduced Nya Pistolteatern to the Finnish audience at the Viirus Theatre in Helsinki. This year Baltic Circle is proud to present Teater Terrier from Malmö with its brand new show Best of Dallas, premiered in November 2007. Teater Terrier is an independent professional theatre ensemble that has its roots in Malmö Theatre Academy, Southern Sweden. Teater Terrier was set up to serve as an alternative artistic platform for its members. Teater Terrier has a reputation for doing strong theatre performances on socially and politically challenging issues. Since 2004 the group has been working in its own space in Malmö. As the year turns to 2008 Teater Terrier will change its name to Institutet. Teater Terrier’s 20th performance - their last performance due to the upcoming name change - peeps into the world of Dallas, plays with its fetishes and uses them to decode male sexual fantasies.
